Facebook将在新加坡为自己的数据中心安装100兆瓦的屋顶太阳能电池板以提供清洁能源。

Facebook已与新加坡能源公司Sunseap Group签署了《电力购买协议》(PPA)，根据该协议，它将在1200个住宅区和49座政府建筑物的屋顶上安装太阳能电池板，总容量为100MW。设备于2022年投入使用后，Facebook将通过以预先约定的价格向Sunseap Group购买电力获得可再生能源证书(REC)。

Facebook has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with Singapore energy company sunseap group, under which it will install solar panels on the roofs of 1200 residential areas and 49 government buildings with a total capacity of 100MW. After the device is put into operation in 2022, Facebook will obtain a renewable energy Certificate (REC) by purchasing electricity from sunseap group at a pre agreed price.

Through these projects, Facebook aims to achieve its promised renewable energy transition and reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 75% by the end of this year. The company previously set a target of 50% renewable energy in its data center's total electricity supply by 2018.

Facebook上个月与美国犹他州的落基山电力公司(Rocky Mountain Power)签订了235MW的PPA，将建造三座新的太阳能发电厂。

Sunseap在新加坡的太阳能项目总容量超过300兆瓦，在新加坡的1,500多个建筑物中安装了168兆瓦的太阳能电池板。

2018年，Sunseap与微软签署了为期20年的60MW PPA，其中还包括屋顶太阳能电池板。在与Facebook达成交易之前，它是新加坡历史上 大的太阳能项目。
