作为全球第二大流行数据库，MySQL也受到了众所周知事件的影响，不得不做出一些调整。

MySQL开发人员今天宣布，计划在数据库源文件、文档中停止使用master(主)、slave(从)、blacklist(黑名单)、whitelist(白名单)四个名词。

7月7日后，它们将会被分别替换成source(原始)、replica(复制)、blocklist(拦截名单)、allowlist(允许名单)。

开发人员透露，原本考虑过用primary(只要)、secondary(次要)来替换master、slave，但考虑到技术上的精确性， 终还是放弃了它们。

与此同时，Twitter也宣布了类似的计划，计划更换9个敏感词汇，同样包含master、slave、blacksit、whitelist，但是替换的名称和MySQL略有不同，而且有多种选择，分别对应allowlist、denylist、leader/primayr、follower/replica/standby。

近期，大量美国科技公司、开源组织都承诺清理blacklist等涉嫌歧视的词汇，包括GitHub、Ansible、Splunk、Google(Android/Chrome)、Go(编程语言)、PHPUnit、Curl、OpenZFS、OpenSSL、摩根大通(JP Morgan)、微软、领英等等。
